Here at Köthen Castle, the exhibition invites you to take a look at the history of the first linguistic society in Germany, the Fruchtbringende Gesellschaft ("Fruitbearing Society"). Use this opportunity to discover the history of the German language and explore many fascinating linguistic phenomena.

In the Interactive German Language Experience, you can discover the German language and find out about various German language topics. Multimedia animations, video projections and audio playbacks invite adults and children alike to participate in the exhibition.

Collection of material for school students—the “Lutherkoffer”

To honor Martin Luther's contributions to the German language, as well as the importance of language and the ability to speak for people, the New Fruitbearing Society developed teaching materials. They collaborated with the State Institute for School Quality and Teacher Training Saxony-Anhalt (LISA) and the State Office "Luther 2017" to compile these materials into a "Lutherkoffer," a material collection focused on Martin Luther and the German language.
